School Holiday Coming...

School holiday is coming next week...so a looooot of books and activities also need to plan to occupy the holiday. Some of the books I bought at MPH, some of them from Pustaka Mukmin KL and the rest from Pustaka Minerva KL. As I can remember, I visited Pustaka Mukmin and Pustaka Minerva when I was in first year Uni back in 1998. And after nearly 11 years (wow* long time ago ), I found out that the bookstores have a lot and a lot to offer for pre-schoolers. Everything in MPH can be found here and everything here most unlikely could be found somewhere else.

Flash Cards Jawi - hardly to find in major bookstores.

Kumon Flash Cards. We only started with a,b,c and d. But the pen dah bold.. Ya ya..tulis a mungkin 30 kali, b mungkin 25 kali...c di dinding mungkin 2 kali...

* Bukan quality pen tak bagus..pen ok, cuma its not really suitable for 'heavyduty' use by 2 years and 9 months old boy..***

The girl in this Phonics Book named Pat. And the dog in Series 2a named Pat.

Monthly Achievement

As I mentioned in my previous post, Muhsin started reading Ladybird Keyword Series 1a on 1st May 2009. And today, 29th May 2009, I've introduced Series 2a to him. A lot of new keywords have been introduced in Series 2a. Therefore, I dont expect much from him, at least one keyword a day is better enough *:-). Among the keywords introduced in Series 2a:

Pat, they, are, comes, water, fun, says, have, it, look, (that's all I can remember* ;-))

Series 1c require a writing skill- which I'll reserve that for later session.

Rasanya beli buku ni last week. But since Muhsin seems not so interested with it, masih cantik dan baru lagi. Dont know why he's not as excited as having a new Peter and Jane Series. Mungkinkah..he's not interested with numbering, or munginkah..he's bored with numbering 1-2-3; where its been keep learning everyday at school? Maybe for him, its just 1-2-3, no new things to discover unlike reading..

Kita akan ungkaikan misteri numbering ni.. ;-)

Drawing

Our activity last night was drawing. Just drawing a continuous line. And the important point is, listen to given instruction.

I asked Muhsin to write his name, and the outcome is....*tadaaa*

Peter & Jane Series 1b & 1c

We went to Popular Ampang Point last night for book hunters. Books that we managed to take home:

1. Ladybird Series 1b

2. Ladybird Series 1c

3. Disney Princess Colouring Book

Surprisingly, Muhsin managed to complete the 1b series within a short time. Basically 1b is emphasize more on repeating Series 1a.

What is the best time to introduce 1c? Maybe during this coming school holiday.

- Since Muhsin has completed 1b, I've introduced 1c to him. Series 1c is a Read and Write phase which require a writing skill. As of now, he's only able to write a letter 'a', 'c', 'i', 'l', 'x' and 'o'.

Masak Apa Hari Ini

Pikir pikir nak masak apa hari ni, jadi la Siamese Budu and Daging BlackPepper Garlic.

Siamese Budu:

2-3 batang serai di potong halus

10 helai daun limau purut di potong halus

2-3 ulas bawang merah di potong halus

1 ekor ikan kembung direbus dan diambil isinya

10-12 biji cili kampung

1 biji limau purut - diperah airnya

1 sudu teh gula (jika perlu/suka)

Campurkan kesemua bahan dan tuang budu di atasnya...Siaaap!

Daging BlackPepper Garlic:

1/2 kilo daging batang pinang dipotong nipis

Gaul dengan sedikit garam dan direbus (sedikit air shj)

Bila daging dah masak, marinate daging selama 20-30 min bersama:

2-3 sudu kicap

2-3 sudu sos tiram

1 sudu black pepper

1 sudu kecil gula

Kemudian goreng daging yang telah dimarinate tadi.

Masukkan ke dalam bekas.

Untuk garlic:

Cincang 7-8 ulas bawang putih dah goreng sehingga kekuningan

Tabur ke atas daging

Untuk sayur:

Celur/Rebus

4-5 btg kacang buncis

4-5 kuntum broccoli

3 inci carrot yg dipotong memanjang

? ( I never used hand-blender or food processor, anybody know whether hand-blender can be used to cincang bawang? or kacang tanah? )
- its chopper. but hasilnya sama tak mcm chop manually?

Ustazah Siti Hajar

Pagi tadi ibu gi pasar Kompleks Muhibah, jalan jalan terjumpa gerai tudung. Beli satu untuk lil princess Hajar..harga RM 5 je. Inilah hasilnya...*tadaaaa...*

Reading Peter and Jane 1a

I bought this book on 1st May 2009. Tengoklah condition buku ni sekarang, dah hampir hancur lebur. Nak mandi pun bawak Peter and Jane letak depan pintu bilik air. Tidur bawa sekali. Outing shopping pun bawak jugak.

And today 23 May 2009, Muhsin has completed Key Words with Ladybird Series 1a. ;-)

Alhamdulillah...Maybe next week, will practice with him Series 1a lagi, supaya lancar.

Insyaallah by 1st June, will start with Series 1b.
